MASS MARRIAGE’ a project of Punyadham Trust, Pune, will be held on December 15th, 2024 this year. This will the ninth (9TH) year that this unique function will been organized, where till now, 110 couples coming from humble families such as farmers, physically and visually challenged or orphans from all over Maharashtra have been married till date. It includes 16 clans of Maharashtra including Maratha, Hindu Bengali, Hindu Mahar, Hindu Matang, Hindu Bhangi, Hindu Vani, Hindu Telugu Madalwalu, Hindu Buddhist, Vani Lingayat, Hindu Baird, Hindu Rajput, Hindu Koli, Hindu Kunbi, Ekambara 13 castes. have been included from district and taluka
A great & noble initiative of Punyadham Ashram to organize such an event for the neediest section of our society, that too without dowry.
Punyadham Ashram Parivar, Pune is an organization working in the social sector under which the following activities are carried out. With the noble aim of promoting Indian cultural and spiritual values.
Thus we are working in the fields of service, weaker section of the society, destitute children, Skill Development, healthcare, education etc. The organization has established various service projects with dedicated spirit and pure intention in mind.
Marriage ceremony is done in Vedic style and grooms participating in this wedding ceremony are completed with safari suit or jodhpuri / sherwani, feta, boots-socks, upran, mundavala, harmure and for the bride a mahavastra (shalu) dress, blouse piece, chappals.
Also in the wedding ceremony, Sneh Bhojan is organized for all baratis and other attendees.
